Roles
The Committe for the Road Transport Awareness day is responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and running of the event. The purpose of the group is to create Awareness of the Road Transport Industry through education and exposure.
The group is a non-profit organization, with all proceeds of the Event donated to the Newcastle & Hunter Region Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Committee Members
The ‘Newcastle & Hunter Region Road Transport Awareness Group’ is made up of people from both within the Industry and the general public, with diverse backgrounds from a variety of locations within our region.
Those involved donate their time & expertise to promote the Industry via the Transport Awareness Day Event, held annually on the first Sunday in November.

Formation
The committee is formed via voting procedure, in compliance with the regulations & requirements of an Incorporated Association as dictated by The Department of Fair Trading.
Nominations and selection for the committee occurs annually.
