• For over a decade, the Newcastle Transport Awareness day has been promoting the Transport Industry to other road users, future employees, regulators and itself.
• The industry displays itself in a good and positive perspective for greater public awareness, with well over 200 transport operators on brilliant display proudly supported by their suppliers
• The whole day is supported by the Australian Trucking Association, industry and community sponsors
• This is the opportunity for the community to learn how to live with trucks, respect the trucking industry and learn the importance of trucking to the community and the Australian economy
• This is the chance prospective employees get to talk, feel and experience trucking and explore the career opportunities within the industry
• It is a day when all the transport industry participants work together in a mutual spirit of cooperation for common community benefits
• It is a huge day, with thousands of trucking industry people displaying themselves in a positive light for all the thousands that attended to benefit.

Who is behind Newcastle Transport Awareness Day?

• The Newcastle & Hunter Region Road Transport Awareness Day group proudly represents the Australian Trucking Association in promoting this day.
• The group consists of truck drivers, transport businesses, community representatives, NSW Police, RTA, Newcastle Council, media and the generous suppliers to the transport industry.
